If you would not mind a walk, you can find street parking in one of the housing areas around 10 min (walking) from Rockville Town Center! Parking is validated and first 2 hours should be free in the garages though.
Food is delicious. Must try Malai Koftha
Came here for lunch we order several dishes. Service was fast and food was good. The waitress was very helpful. I reallg enjoyed the appetizers. I couls have just had that.
One cool thing about Spice Xing is that you can order some things off menu and they would still be able to make it. Spice Xing is a bit on the pricer end, since their portions are smaller. This wouldn't be my first choice to go for Indian food, since there are other areas that are more affordable with larger portion sizes. The service was good and the server was attentive and there wasn't any wait for a large group (this can be good or bad, your own perception). We ordered 4 orders of Naan for the table (group of 5 people), and tried both the original and garlic flavor. One of my friends ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh off menu which tasted good. I ordered the Chicken Vindaloo which had a good level of spice, not too mild and not too spicy where I couldn't eat it. The entrees came with a small serving of rice, a cold cabbage salad and some seasonal veggies. Unfortunately, the seasonal veggies were cold and tasted old and left out so I didn't care much for them.
Ok food, terrible service. Server yelled at us because they couldn't do basic math to split a check amongst 5-6 people. They thought someone in our group hadn't paid for their meal, so rather than argue, I just paid for the "missing" meal - at which point the server said they're not going to split checks for us anymore. We'll either never go back or our group will just sit at 6 different tables next time.
AWESOME food. Great service
This food has no favor and expensive. Also when you ask for spicy food they give you non- spicy. The kids love mango lassi and they didn't drink it because it was too sour. The food was terrible.
It's hard to beat really good Indian food
AWESOME...Great place for a party!
I have just stopped by this place for an appetizer. The ambience of this place is good. Right in the middle of the Rockville town center. We had ordered the Kati roll and chicken tandoori and we loved it both. The staff was very warm and welcoming. I would surely revisit this place again
The food is mediocre at best. As a resident in the area, we were given discounts with certain stipulations. The first time I ordered takeout I used it but the second time I came they declined to use the voucher without updating the conditions in the app or informing the customers. The 2 main reasons for visiting here was the proximity and the residential discount. Now that the discount is out and food is average, will be unfortunately forced to explore alternatives.
Sabi gautam , she is the best, she describe me every single menu that they have. Thank you for the patience and thank your for your hospitality
The food is ok. The price is at the high end compared to other good restaurants in the area.
Poor service, our beer arrived after the meal. The meals are not Indian at all. Maybe they have a Mexican chef. If you are reading this at the restaurant don't order samosa chat, it's not a chat at all. Do not order any of the biryani, it's just rice poorly mixed with the meat of choice. Do not order the roast chicken either. If you are reading it at home, plan on not visiting this place.
Bad food. Not worth $33 for valenrtines day buffet. Won't pay even $0.30 cents.
Sabi was an amazing server! The presentation was unlike any Indian cuisine restaurant I have been to! You must try the lamb chop as an appetizer, it was so tender!
Food has no flavor, it’s overpriced for the amount they gave us. I would not recommend this place as there are many other Indian restaurants in the area with much better quality and quantity.
The food and service was good. The company even better!
Food was flavorless. I asked that they make my lamb bariyani with "medium spice" but when i got the dish it had little to any flavor at all. Very disappointed. How can you have "spice" in the name of your restaurant but the food be spice-less and flavorless. It's as if this place is putting on the front of a traditional Indian restaurant with cooks who are clearly not familiar with Indian cuisine. I've been to tons of Indian/Nepalese restaurants and I can always tell the ones who don't have chefs from those geographic locations.
My fiancé bought me here for my 40th birthday dinner on 4th of July, the food is good and the service phenomenal. Although it was very busy when we were there our server gave us an outstanding service and was very friendly. Highly recommended.
So so. We have eaten there several times and we always feel like it was money poorly spent. If you want really good Indian food, I recommend trekking down to their sister store (Passage to India) in Bethesda, which is WAY better even though they are partnered. We eat at Passage to India every week, yum.
Good Indian food. Efficient and friendly staff. Parking in Rockville Town Center can be "interesting" Prices are about the same as other decent Indian restaurants
An utterly delightful restaurant with an airy and flavorful menu. I've had the paneer makhni several times, it gets better each time.
Service was outstanding and the food was good. Nice decor.
I have been to this location on three different occasions and have had a great experience each time. I enjoy the pairing of their Chicken Tikka Masala with the Naan bread and the basmati rice. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and will listen to any reasonable requests you may have. I would recommend this place to anyone who has a spice addiction.
1 star for restaurant decoration and cleanliness 0 star for food :- ordered samosa chat... came with 1 whole piece of samosa, some cheek peas, and two kind of sauce, missing lots of imp ingredients which is essential for chat!!!! it was nice of the sever did not charged for it. But there gotta be something done like giving onion, chili, lemon, bhuja..... on the side...Chicken biryani was like made by the beginner...It also seemed missing lots of major ingredients. Big chucks of boneless chicken, very bland flavor, no fried onion topping....I was wondering the chef is definitely not Indian or Nepali....Must be Spanish or something who does not have idea about Indian cushion at all.....They tried to modify the food but they failed to make it eatable....We will be not going there again Also the drink came after appetizer with our entrees!!!!!Hope they consider all feedback given by reviewers...
Went about a year ago, place was empty but the service was slow. It was a Sunday too. They service Indian food with a twist / contemporary Indian food but was not impressed. I think the nicest thing I had was the mango lassi. Just not a place for me maybe.
I have done take out from Spice Xing and each time the food was extremely good. I'm not an expert on Indian food, but I have been to enough restaurants to know when one is better than most others, and Spice Xing is definitely much better than a lot of other places out there. I will add that the portions are quite generous: for $11 I picked up a lunch special that was easily two meals.
The food was TERRIFIC! It took 40 minutes to get our food at lunch but we were not in a rush.
Food is just okay but ambience is good.
We LOVE Spice Xing (Crossing)! We do “take-out†at least twice a month. Food is Excellent. Service is friendly, welcoming, professional. Sabi is always kind and helpful. Highly Recommend to lovers of Indian cuisine!
I just enjoy their food. I always get excellent customer service here. The place is always clean and the workers are always super friendly. Highly recommended.
The food is good, the service - not so much. Staff is seems to be very young and inattentive to costumers. I actually walked in with no greeter/host at the door (the whole place looked empty and practically abandoned- it was evening it should’ve been lively!). A backroom chef that had been walking by was the one to greet us and told us to come in and sit down. If you want to be served by teenage waitresses that seem to not want to be there (and show it) then go right ahead. Otherwise, Grubhub it.
I always come by grabbing some food here. I love the fast service and well made dishes. 5 stars from me.
Very nice open space, excellent staff. Food is good, too! And very well-presented.
Overpriced, mediocre food at best. Terrible customer service and super rude manager. I should have called uber to deliver instead of wasting my time walking to pick it up.
Wonderful atmosphere and very amiable service. The food was crisp and delightful. Will absolutely recommend this spot to others. Reasonable rates and large portions. Great work.
Amazing ambiance, food, and service. If I had any complaint it's that their vegan selection could be bigger. It's not really a legit complaint since the few selections they do have are amazing.
Excellent service throughout. Food delicious: eggplant appetizer, followed by chicken makti and seafood medley. Very nice cocktail, beer and wine offerings. Convenient parking, great location in Rockville Town Square. Will come again soon.
Delicious meal in lovely setting, not too noisy!
They offer a fantastic range of delicious food. I loved dining here. Staff members are always very kind, prices are fair and the spot is always well organised.
Quantity is comparable to the price. But taste needs some improvement.
Great ambience and very amiable service. The menu was fresh and delightful. Will clearly recommend this restaurant to friends. Reasonable prices and large portions. Great work.
Another delicious dinner We celebrate birthdays there because Spice Xing gives us a discount coupon to help us celebrate.
NO Chai Tea, food served warm, not up to temp. Service acceptable, late time I drive over twenty miles for a wasted meal...,
Delicious food, service was quick, and the prices were decent. I would absolutely recommend.
What a delightful experience. Being of Indian origin we are wary of Indian restaurants whilst travelling away from home.As we were craving desi Khana we ventured here on recommendation by our son.Such a beautiful clean with pleasant ambiance. The service was exemplary. We were there for lunch, and I ordered the thali version with prawn masala ...the chana was perfect and close to what we cook at home. The prawns cooked to perfection... And yes perfectly deveined!!The naan was light fluffy and crisp...just superb. The cost just blew me away...great value.Generous helping.Highly recommended
Pretty good Indian and I was raised eating Indian food. It's kind of pricier than I feel like it needs to be, but it is really good. Service was great when I went, too.
Love the food and the place -very welcoming
Really good food! Especially the appetizers, which were amazing. Not only yummy, but also pretty. The eggplant tower was surprising, pretty, and yummy. Very nice servers who know a lot about the menu and will help you if you have questions. Wonderful gluten free and dairy free options. Also good pricing, in my opinion.
Good lunch specials. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered Mango cheese cake and were not happy! It tasted like supermarket cheesecake with canned mango sauce slathered on top! Not worth the calories or the price.
